Game Environment Art
NEONBAR is one of my environmental artworks, partly based on Games 3010, inspired by my desire to create a space that is both urban nightlife style and relaxing like a resort. I have always loved the neon bars in resorts, the feeling of lights reflected on the water in the tropical night breeze - both energetic and relaxing. This atmosphere became the core concept of my design for NEON BAR.
The entire building adopts a building block structure with wood grain as the main material, which keeps the space warm and natural, while neon lights are used to outline a modern sense, so that the resort atmosphere and the cyber city feel are intertwined. The first floor is the core of the entire design. I hope it is like the busiest nightclub in the city, but also has the leisure of a resort. At the entrance, the neon sign floating on the water is the first impression of the entire space. I want people to have a relaxed and pleasant immersion as soon as they approach. The warm yellow lights in the bar area are reminiscent of the retro atmosphere of old-fashioned bars in Shanghai, while the dance floor area is completely different, with colorful neon lights and electronic screens, bringing a more modern nightlife experience. This contrast of color and atmosphere makes the whole space lively and layered without making people feel too noisy.
The second floor is a more relaxing area. I mainly refer to the layout of the resort hotel for this floor. I hope it can be a social space and a place to escape from the hustle and bustle. I set up a VIP lounge, swimming pool and terrace square here. The design of the swimming pool refers to the style of a tropical resort. I want people to not only see the night view outside, but also enjoy a moment of tranquility in the breeze. The cold blue light source of the bar makes the whole space more restrained than the first floor, and more in line with the quiet atmosphere at night.
The cinema and suspended swimming pool on the third floor are where I want to make the whole building more unique. I hope to create an immersive experience, so that people can float on the water with the sky above their heads and the neon-lit city night scene under their feet. This multi-layered sense of space makes NEON BAR not just a nightclub or bar, but more like a complete urban resort space.
This project is not only a technical exercise for me, but also an exploration of the shaping of spatial atmosphere. I have always believed that good design is not only a visual impact, but also a transmission of emotions - what can people feel when they enter this space? Will they be immersed in it? Can this place bring them a moment of relaxation? The birth of NEON BAR was gradually formed under such questions. I hope it is not only a bar building full of neon urban feeling, but also a space where people can find a moment of relaxation in the hustle and bustle.
